Hi every one!!!! MY name is KaRAN AND AM a Candian citizen.I have met a girl in India and been in love for now a year.I would like to sponsor her some time soon .She is educated and a single mother of a boy who is 2 yrs old.Firstly I didnt want to sponsor the kid but she doesnt want to live with me without the kid and i cannot live without her. Please advise me or suggest me how to gather proof and evidence to sponsor her as I have now decided to marry her.Any sort of advises would be helpful and welcome....Please tell me how to prepare as I dont have any knowledge about it..

As long as the father signs off on the child being able to be sponsored.

The child's father will have to agree, as noted above.

The visa officer may have questions about why you want to marry a woman who has a child already, and why your and her parents agreed with this match. You'll have to explain the marriage was not arranged and is a love match.
If you get married in India, I suggest you follow all the customary traditions and have a big celebration. Both sides of the family should be there, if possible.

When there is a step-child involved, the visa officers expect the step-parent to know a lot about the child and to be as involved in his/her life as possible. Try to develop a relationship with the boy, who after all will be your step-son.
