I am going to apply this week but I need some advice.
I am officially (on paper) a software developer but do not do much development these days and have different responsibilities. I originally started out as a software developer, changed department within the same company.. but my position remained the same.
I was going to ask the HR department to provide me with the reference letter so that I know under which NOC I should apply but a colleague suggested not to tell them my plans (in order to 'protect' my job/ not tell people what I'm going to do).
They would probably put me down as I am officially listed on papers, but I am not sure 100% (they are a bit vindictive sometimes). I can also get the country's official employment paper (which is provided by the state, not by the company)
I do not want to get my application rejected due to a discrepancy or for 'lying'.
I don't mind asking HR but would like ask for some advice, maybe from someone that had a similar situation.
Is it possible to apply under a NOC and change it later on should the HR decide differently?
