Advice please

Hi
I’m in Canada since 3 years ago and my visa is under my husband work permit. He keeps to renewing the work permit and didn’t apply for pr. He always been abusing me and recently he beats me and I rang the police. Soon he is going to court. I have a disabled daughter she is 12 years old and she is Canadian born.
I don’t know what happens to my immigration status and what options I have. I appreciate any of your advice.

You were already given advice back in May did you not follow it and get a lawyer involved?

I’ve seen a lawyer and she said I might be in trouble with my status to stay in Canada. She said it depends on what happens in court and at the time of divorce what options become available for me. I’m just looking for anyone who had same or similar situation as me or anyone that could comment on my situation . The lawyer advice is not so clear to me ...
