Hey there. Very new to this site and am looking for some advice. I'm 28 from the uk and would like to apply for a working visa. I have been on a few sites already and done a little bit of homework. I've heard that uk citizens only get a certain allocation and that the visa application is released in January ? Can anyone shed any light on this.

CIC typically releases spots in three rounds in December and January. They are snapped up extremely quickly (often 15 to 30 minutes after they become available). So you have to literally be at your computer when the cap opens and apply immediately.

At this point it's too early to know when the three rounds will be opening this year. You'll just have to watch the web site.
