Hi,

I would be applying under 2171 & ready to send my application by Aug 20 to CIC. Now, the only thing which I did not collect is Police Certificates from USA & India.

In that case, is it fine if I send the application & then start the process of PCC collection. Can I send them at a later date. Does this hamper my chances any way.

No, you can send them later when you have a file no.

Thanks a lot PMM.

Can you tell me as to when a file no is created?

When CIC will review your application positively and send you an email to that effect.

Regards

Thanks a lot nskat. In that case, should I wait till the file no is created & then start the PCC process or should I start immediately.

Better to start immediately. No harm in getting the PCC well in advance. The validity of the PCC is for 1 year from date of issue.
In that case, once you get the file no and you are asked for the PCC, you can submit the same immediately without running helter skelter at that time.

Thanks a lot Canol
