I applied under fast track, and a month ago received a document request for a PCC from Pakistan, the status on ECAS is In Process, and that they have started processing on 12 June 09. The PCC was expired, so i got a new one and sent in in two weeks after i got the letter.

The letter mentioned to submitt the docs by Aug 16th. The letter mentioned that the IO will make a final decision on whether to approve, reject or call for an interview on Aug 16, 2009.

But I didn't get any medical request so I was just wondering how can they make a final decision without any medicals?

Any one with a similiar situation, i'm getting nervous since Aug 16 is tomorrow. God I hope it goes well.

Kind regards,

Alice

i'm sure the word "approve" here means provisional approval... means the IO will provisionally approve your application for further processing and a medical request will be issued. else, he will call you for an interview and if satisfied in the interview, the medical request will be issued.

I'm also confused about the call for interview part, i'm applying from the middle east, does this mean that if I get called for an interview I will have to go to the UK?? Or will the Interview be held in the local embassy in my resident country??

i answered in the other thread. i am copying and pasting the same info below.

UAE applicants whose PR applications are processed at CHC london dont have to fly to CHC london in case of an interview. their interview is done at local CHC or CHC Abu Dhabi. i have read about the similar cases for a couple UAE applicants on this forum. the correct source escapes my mind but you can search for this on this forum to confirm.
