Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Hello Everyone,

This post is irrespective of the status of application of its audience. Hence kindly feel generous to give your advice :)

My background is below

Engineering
2.5 years exp in NOC 2174
MBA in Marketing
2.8 years exp in NOC 2171 (Business Analyst)

I am based in Dubai and working as a BA. However, my salary is only decent, and not good as per my role. If all goes well, I am expecting a PR by June 2017. I do not plan to move to Canada atleast before September. I am in a dilemma and seek advice on below options

1. Continue in current job for next 6-8 months and then relocate to Canada permanently
2. Switch to real-estate sector for next 6-8 months in Sales and make some good money in commission (much much more than what I currently earn) by working for my cousin who is more than willing to hire me
3. Switch job as BA for next 6-8 months (Highly unlikely coz job market in Dubai sucks and good jobs don't come easy. Been trying for >6 months now but no interview calls)

From your contacts/research in Canada, can anyone suggest if it will hurt my chances in Canada job search as Business Analyst (after landing there), if for the next 6-8 months I work in real-estate in Dubai which is a totally unrelated domain and role?

I am somehow sure that I will make some good money in real-estate which can be used when i move to Canada in making some investment.

Please help with my confusion. Really appreciate your responses.

thanks guys.

This entirely depends on you. You can work in any sector you want except some government / armed forces where you need to be a citizen. If you want to work as a BA in Canada, Canadian employers would like to see continuity in BA employment. I've never been to Dubai but I know that the middle east is the place to be if you want to make money without paying any taxes, get accommodation from the employer and tickets to your home country. You will have to spend for accommodation and pay taxes in Canada.

Thanks expressentry. Well accommodation from employer is a dream for middle level jobs. Anyways, I would like to seek advice from people related to Canada BA job chances if i switch industry/job for a short term before moving to Canada.

Thanks for your response nonetheless. Have noted your comments.
