Sir,

I have a some queries on my case. I have received medicals last month from London. Now, we have 29th September as deadline to send medicals & RPRF.
But my wife is 7 week pregnant, so what do you recommend

1- Shall I go for shielded X-ray and send my wife reports or wait for delivery ?

If answer to the above is Yes, then can you answer the following question
A) do they accept shielded x-ray and will they issues visa in pregnancy case? Or wait for child birth

B) what if we can't get visas on our passport before child's birth. Will this be a problem to make a landing for a family ?

If answer to my first above question is No; then
C) will LVO send any letter stating that you have to send new born papers and X-ray for wife ? And what is the timeline to receive that letter and what is the deadline to send new born papers & wife x-ray

D) how long will be the wait after sending new born papers? I have done my medicals on 12th sept and will this situation make me to re do the medicals again if one year passed by ?
Thank you for timely reply and reading my query
Regards

Hi,

First take decision whether u wanna go ahead with chest xray or not then other things will fall in track.

Can a pregnant woman take chest x ray during first trimester ie till 12 wks of pregnancy with abdominal shield?

This is debate among doctors, there r two schools of thoughts over this.

First grp argues that with cxr, radiation is less and for short time, hence safe with abdominal shield.

Second grp argues that first 12 wks of pregnancy is critical period and its better to avoid any kind of xray unless its deemed as essential ,from the point of view that:
1. there r other diagnostive tools which r efficient
2.protective lead sheets may hv cracks
3.radiation area exposure is harmful in gerenal and additionally keeping in mind
4.woman other exposed parts r sensitive to radiation during pregnancy.

Keeping these in mind,u can take decision whether to go ahead with chest xray or not.

Next steps depend on ur first decision.

IMHO( as a doctor), best thing in this situation would b going for meds without cxr, medical team at cic knows importance of pregnancy and consequences of radiation during first 12 wks of pregnancy.
Ur wife can take other appropriate tests to rule out TB,discuss these things with your DMP.

Good luck.

Rgds,
Art.

Your wife is 7 week pregnant means you have 3 options:
1. Return the medical request back and inform ur visa office.
2. Do the medical and skip xray part till child is born.
3. Do xray with shield.

Keeping the current immigration changes in mind you will have to decide which is the best way out.

From a personal experience,

my wife was pregnant in her 4th month when we get MR's, I've consulted my lawyer and DMP, as the gents notified you of the options you have, its totally right. but what we did was the following:

1-Decided not to undertake MR's due to the risk of subjecting my wife to X-Rays (from medical point of view its still debatable wether it has any impact or not), but we decided not to take this risk, and CHC gives you the option to wait till your wife gives birth.
2-Notificed my VO on that and provided a due date of delivery.
3-I recieved a letter from my VO (this week), notifing me that its ok for them to wait until my wife gives birth and then after that, i need to add my newborn, pay his fees, send his birth certificate.
4-after submitting all of the above, VO will be sending his medical forms with instructions.

now, its totally a personal decision how you plan to go forward with this.just wanted to share my experience with you, maybe it could help somewhere.

all the best and congrats for your wife's pregnancy.

My sincere advise to you is to get the family`s meds done, but your wife gets only the urine test & blood test done NOT THE CHEST XRAY. You get your wife`s gynecolgist`s letter indicating the expected delivery date, your DMP informs the VO too. The DMP sends the meds to VO & after a week or two the VO will send you a letter telling you to get the wife`s xray done ASAP when she delivers & a letter telling you to send the baby`s birth certificate,2 passport size pics & passport bio page (to add the baby to your application). The Vo will itself send the baby`s meds so dont worry. You now RELAX till your wife delivers,NOTHING WILL GO WRONG WITH YOUR APPLICATION,just that you have to wait some more months. Cheers!!

Interview........
11 oct 2012
Dear forum friends!

I would like to get your valuable advice. I had my interview on last 11 Oct 2012 in New Delhi Visa Office. Unfortunately there were some contradictions occurred in my case. I have applied my case in 7241 category(Electrician). I have provided all my qualifications and experience certificate related to that category only.
My data’s are like this: - After my school education I have done mechanical engineering, Then electrical engineering and there is gap shown between my employment. I have 14 years of experience .But at the same time in the above said gap period, I have completed my law degree and enrolled with bar council in the year 2010. But not practicing. These cases were not mentioned in the application form. I thought while applying for an 'electrician’s category, by being an advocate, make more complication and lacuna in the minds of visa officer who process my application. But this become more terrible dilemma they have got my details and all qualification and status from LinkedIn network through a Google search and the visa officer was Canadian madam, she shouted against me and said-
“Why did you hide all these matters from us?”
I told: - Madam it was for nothing. After all I was applying for an electrician’s category that’s why I left all those details aside.
VO:-“No I don't want to hear any explanation”.
Any way I have confessed before her and I admitted my case one by one, and she typed everything in the system. I explained my innocence. But she never changed her mind and told
VO: - "Do you know the consequences of misrepresentation'
I said: 'yes madam'
VO: - Then why did you do this?'
I said: 'Madam I told you everything"
VO: -“I have another two questions related to your employment”.
VO: -1. “How can we connect two circuits to one circuit breaker?”
I said: (Actually connecting two circuits to a circuit breaker is illegal and not a good practice) I kept silent for a moment and told ' we can connect it serially' while no chance for a parallel connection ,if we do so circuit breaker will burn.
VO: - “No! Yours is a wrong answer, You know I am an Electrical diploma holder, and my father is an electrician. This question could be answered by every person who has a basic knowledge of an electrician”.
VO: -. “What is the regular procedure in your work field? “
I explained, while ours is a cable television network, and explained about its cable drawing, cable charging and network design and electrical jobs etc....
VO: - ' What are the electrical measuring equipments you usually use?'
I said' multi meter, DB meter (for signals) etc...
VO: -Ok I have asked you two questions, but you have answered wrongly for the first question
the second thing you have withheld some personal information about your education and job status .I believe that you are a lawyer and not an electrician
I said ' No madam!, I am an electrician and as well as an enrolled lawyer but not practicing, I still working as an electrician '
For that I have given the appointment letter from the employer and the experience letter stating 14 years of experience.
VO: - No!. I will not proceed your application, I recommend to my superior for a refusal, Ok? Let him decide!

I told madam I have no deliberate intention to keep anything hide, I thought these factors are not relevant in my case for applying as an electrician
VO: - “No who told you to consider it as irrelevant, every data about you is relevant for us . This is cheating I never allow any body to cheat my county”.
She never asked any other document which was demanded through letter.
We were carrying all documents like proof of fund (fixed deposit receipt for 12 lakhs(previously gave 23.5 lakhs in account statements),property valuation report by a Govt valuator for Rs-1.5 Crores,Wedding Photos, outing photos(three heavy albums)
she checked our passports ,and received appointment letter from employer and experience certificate.

That’s all in this interview

My dear forum members! ..
I was knowingly never tried to hide anything , I thought, by disclosing all details about my law degree and enrollment will make a mismatch in the applied category (7241).
What could I do next to convince her?
What would be her decision? The status still same as 'in process'
Why they are so suspicious on Indians this type of silly matters?
In my knowledge misrepresentation means anything provide wrongly for some benefit. But in my case I have done it for no benefit.

Please advise me what to do next to convince them or guess what would me the decision?
