Hello All,
My wife is a Canadian citizen and currently we live in the US. We were married 5 years ago in Victoria BC, where most of her family is located. Since then we have been living in the US. I have been a restaurant manager for the last 15+ years and have decided on a career change into the IT industry. I have recently been employed with an IT company and my wife wants to start schooling of her own. She would like to attend school in Canada while I build experience in my new position here in the states. Our goal is for me to eventually meet her there and move into a place of our own while she finishes her schooling and I work to support us until she is done. I need advice on the best/quickest way to accomplish this. I am aware that there are many who would look to use marriage as a fast and easy method to gain entrance into the country. I am also aware that there is no quick or easy method. However, I want to expedite this process the right way without taking an extreme amount of time in doing so. My goal would be to join her by the end of 2013. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
