Hello, I got married to my wonderful wife in the Philippines approximately 1.5 years ago. We took our sweet time and finally got our application in for outland sponsorship last November. I have recently received notice that I have been approved as a sponsor and the application was forwarded to the visa office in Manila.... in the meantime I want to get my wife here for a visit.

However we have applied for a Tourist Visa in the past and it was denied. Since than I have received a huge promotion, I am a CEO of an organization and earning in the top 1% of Canada.

Yet my wife has never left the Philippines, does not currently work, so not sure if there is anything we can do to get her a Visa to visit me for a few months.

Will my large income help? As obviously my wife would not be working pre or post visa....

Worth giving one of these agencies a try?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Deposit a large amount of CAD to her bank account, let's say 5K-10K. Leave it there for at least 3 months. Then reapply explaining that you have transferred that amount in order to give her the means for travelling.

Also it would be a good idea that she gets a full time job and stay there for at least 6 months before applying.

Finally shorten the visit from "a few months" to two weeks (visits are short).

If she can get a USA visa that would help with her case.

No. That even hurts because you are showing she has a lot of reasons to come to Canada and start living without waiting the proper time. Her main source of income is in Canada, his husband is in Canada, she doesn't have real reasons to go back once she sets foot in Canada.

Thanks for the reply!

Doesn't the fact that we in the process of spousal sponsorship play into. Why would you risk the Spousal Sponsorship by overstaying on a Tourist Visa?

Another problem I have is within 3-6 months the Spousal Visa should be approved, ruling out some of your other suggestions of leaving 5-10k in her bank for 6 months.

Kinda screwed up to the effort we go through to get Filipina family members approved.... meanwhile half of Syria is being brought in *sigh*.

Yes - it plays a role in it. It reduces the chances of being approved since CIC knows she has plans on remaining in Canada long term and makes they concerned she may try to use the visitor visa to move to Canada before she is authorized to do so.
