If the median wage is $22, can the employer advertise the job for $17-$23 or he has to write at least $22 in the advertisement?

Thank you so much!

If the position is for High wage then it has to be $22-any wages.

If position is for low wage then it could be anything above minimum wages.

Yes,it is for high wage,NOC B.it is impossible to get LMIA in Ontario in low wage, so it has to be high wage...thank you for your answer.

You most welcome. What is the NOC code if you would like to share here..?

NOC 7237- welder.the median wage is $21.53 only few cents more than the Ontario's median wage (21.15)

I am from 6311 NOC (Food Service Supervisor). Yes, my employer is having advertisement going.

It is being difficult to get the LMIA approved for welders due to the low rates in Oil industry. My friend lost his job after approval of his LMIA and work permit. Good luck. Still it is good to give it a try..

Unfortunately, you are right. But welder is still in high demand occupations, they should process LMIA in 10 days.there is more than 500 advertisements on job bank.most of the people who lost the job in Alberta they are going back to work right now.we have to be optimistic otherwise we should go home.good luck! let me know what is happening with your LMIA. Thank you.

What are the high wage occupations? NOC B and NOC A? Is it possible to get LMIA for these jobs in Ontario?

NOC B and NOC A also can be high wage occupation.it depends on the salary not on the NOC code.we hope we can get LMIA,yes it's possible but...
