Is there any reason why if you are sitting at 447 crs you'd accept or decline Ontario nomination?
OINP applications that aren't linked to express entry are notoriously slow to process, with an SLA (Service Level Agreement) of 15 to 19 months on average. You'd accept this route if you are not eligible for Express Entry due to :
  • a lack of Canadian work experience,
  • a lack of sufficient funds, or
  • a low CRS score
If you have one or more of the above, you'd be better off applying through express entry, where the SLA is 6 months for 80% of applications (and 4 months under the Canadian Experience Class).

If you have an Express Entry profile already but haven't received an ITA, there is no harm in accepting your OINP nomination. If you're confident that you will receive an ITA due to your eligibility for one of the Express Entry streams, and you aren't worried about your status in Canada expiring soon, you can also decline your nomination.

I am not an immigration expert. This is a post on the internet. Take anything you read here with a grain of salt.

with a CRS of 447 you don't need it. Unless that score isn't certain/you're losing points for age soon.

I believe OP meant the round of NOI sent out yesterday under HCP. Not paper based applications.

@Adolphite
With 447, you can wait and see what happens in next draw. There's a good chance you'll get an ITA.
Ah. My bad!

No need to waste your hard earned CAD1,500. Your score of 447 is within the reach of getting you an ITA in the next draw or two...
from NoI to nomination if 2-3 months(avg)... from there on 4-6 months(avg) for EE process to be complete

i just received ONIP letter and i dont want to go with it as my CRS score is enough (CRS score 447) to get ITA in coming rounds.

Could you please confirm how to decline the invite?

many thanks for your help.

but i will remain in express entry pool even after i avoid accepting/declining ONIP?
OINP reviews profiles in the EE pool.
An NoI from OINP is just an invitation it does not affect your EE profile at all. If you decide to opt for OINP and submit the application, your EE profile will not be available for other PNP or other economic programs(such as FSW or CEC etc).
