Adopted child

I just want to know how long will be the processing time for adopted child? and also if there is an age range. Because some was telling me that if the child is above 10, it is more difficult to process the application. I'm just confused. Thanks!

I would say there is no age range. However, what are the circumstances here? There CERTAINLY is an "adoption of convenience", i.e. an adoption for the sole purpose of bringing the child to Canada. Perhaps somewhere around the age of 10 and above, that in itself screams 'adoption of convenience'. For me, it wouldn't even be as high as the age of 10 (IMHO).
