admission to university of Alberta

one of the associate professor of university of alberta has agreed to supervise me in MASC program and I meet all the admission requirements. Does that mean my admission in the university is certain?

It increases your chances by a lot
If a professor has already accepted to supervise you then that means that you are well qualified to study in that institution if you were not do you think he will bother supervising you?

I 'm planning to apply U of A MINT program , but not sure my GPA is accept or not,
Unfortunately, my last degree from UK was second class : Division II ,

My profile is : Bachelor of science in computer networks and security
Certification : CCNA, CCNP, CCIE
Working Experience : 8 Yrs with Networking

Can anyone advise that can i get admit into MINT program in U of A ? ,
