Hi all,
I was wondering if some of you could help me out understanding whether it is a legitimate choice to upload my University admission letter as "Proof of Means of Financial Support" in the online application or the study permit. The letter contains information about the minimum stipend (which is, after tuition, higher that the 10k CAD needed to be eligible for the study permit). My doubt is caused by the simple fact that I have to upload the very same admission letter under the voice "Letter of admittance", so I was a little confused if this is something I can do without any problem.

Anyone knows if I can do this? (I emailed the embassy but I was replied with an automatic form telling me that they do not respond to general questions...)
Thanks a lot for your help!!!

PS Do you know also if is it better to upload the scan of the hard copy I received by mail or the .pdf copy I received by email? Thanks!

Don't mix things...

On "Letter of admittance" you upload your University admission letter.

On proof of means you could add:
- any proof of property or proof of vehicle you have
- bank drafts from past 4 months
- tax income from your bank
- payrolls from your employer
- tax income from your employer
- a letter from your parents stating that they will help you financially if anything happens (their ID must be attached)

oook, let me explain a little:

I am entering a research based grad program and I will receive a stipend from the university. Based on what the university told me the only thing needed (from them ) to apply for the study permit is the acceptance letter (where it is specified that I will receive at least a certain amount of money per year). Now, on the online application info windows next to the "Proof of Means of Financial Support" upload section, there's a list of examples of documents that can be uploaded; between them there is the voice "Letter from the person or the institution that provides you with funds(or money)"....so that's it...I am a little confused here, but I guess that if the university told me that the only document I need is that letter, and given that they are the ones who will pay me, and this is clearly stated in the letter...what do you think?

Thanks!
