addtl document: proof of separation from husband

Hi guys, anybody with same experience pls share.
I filed my CEC application as legally separated and sent a letter together with my application,explaining why I decided to be legally separated from him, but CPP Ottawa is requesting for a proof of separation which I'm not sure what I should give to them.
Your shared experiences will be much appreciated.

Find a family law paralegal or lawyer, find out if you can get an affidavit of separation. It would be better if you can get his cooperation.
