I e-mailed visa office my address change twice and even mailed them a letter with address change and e-c-as still shows old address and have not received any communication to be sure they have made this change. What is going on ?

Roger

In the case of Buffalo, I send a slow mail of my address change using the form that they gave and it got changed.

Roger,

CHC shall notify u vide email in approx 7 days that 'your file has been updated with your new address'. And another 7-10 days it'll take to change the e-cas. However, once u have got their email, the e-cas change or not, gets immaterial.

That timeline I gave is what happenned with mine (CHC-London) during Dec 09. In any case, rest assured that CHC/CIC had already worked on your request. This is something they usually do not goof-up with.

Hope that helps.

Well in my case, I e-mailed twice and never received an answer ( only an automated reply that my e-mail woul be sent to the visa office ) . I also sent request by courier to visa office and no reply. All this more than 3 weeks ago. How will I know if they changed the address or not ? Qorax how can this be ?

Bro,

In that case send them an email again, asking whether they recd the previous or not. I know Buffalo is a bit ... on responding to our queries, but what else can be done?

I wish u all the best.
Regards.

Roger, what office are you? My address change was changed pretty quick through buffalo (this i did through normal mail using the form that they gave) and another query regarding my process was answered within a week or so. If you are with buffalo, what email address did you use? I can send you the email address I have after I get home.

Thanks to all for help. I just e-mailed the visa office again( third time and asked for reply, got it in 20 minutes) and they replied that they had still not received my file from CPC Sydney and could not update my address until they recieved it.

The AOR from Sydney I received is dated October 6, 2009 and they still have not sent the my file to visa office. Is this normal timeline for this ? Thank again !

Roger

Roger,

It should be OK. Generally CPC would despatch our file to the concerned CHC within 30-45 'working' days. However, Dec 09 being a 'go slow' period, things must have gone wonky here-n-there. But, in another couple of days your file would be at the CHC.

Thus, relax Bro. Everything is alright.
Grace remains in the know that your CHC replied imdtly. Which means things are working fine with your file.

Regards.
