Hi all, I am new to the forum and would be grateful from some educated opinions on our situation:

A brief history

Firstly, our application was submitted in may 2013, with medicals requested in early feb. They were undertaken and uploaded to cic manila on 12 march 2014. I have now been asked to go for additional testing for TB. I find it highly unlikely that I have or had TB. But I must go through the motions to satisfy CIC.

In addition to this, I have been successful in structuring a job in vancouver. My new employer has also commenced the process for an LMO, just in case my PR application stalls. We currently live in adelaide, australia. I have never lived in a country that requests a medical for a temporary WP.

My questions are:
1> As the results to my new TB tests could take up to another 10 weeks to conclude, am I able to move to vancouver upon receipt of a positive LMO, but before my results are reviewed by CIC/PR is granted?
2> if I do move! And I later have to work through other issues with my application would I be asked to leave?

Sorry to say bilut you would not be able to since medical would be required for wp as well. Cic would use the same results.

Technically speaking you can't just come to Canada on LMO you need a work permit with it. Even if you would decide to come with LMO and apply for WP at the airport they would most likely refuse it.

Technically I do not think that is correct. I have never lived in a country that requires a medical for a temporary work permit. As per the CIC guidelines. Also, you can apply for a visa at the port of entry, in certain circumstances. It's the process I went through on my last visa.

Are there any senior members that can provide some guidance?

Ok got you .Did not notice that you are not from country where medical is required. But in this case I am not sure how CIC will react since you already have been advised to do additional medical for TB .Let others comment. It is quite possible that even at port of entry this might become an issue.

If they request an additional test for TB, isn't it easier to just complete the test?
Because as you said you doubt you ever had TB.

They take TB very very seriously. The fact doctor wants to do additional test is a good sign. Because if it was clear you have TB, it would have been a bad thing. I feel delaying the test will just delay your process.

The additional test for TB takes around 3 months time to bd completed. I know few persons who had to do same and the medical process took around 3 months. They were cleared though at the end and got visa.

Again, I think you are misunderstanding what I am saying. I have no issue doing the test, it's not a problem. In fact I am just awaiting the referral letter to commence the process. The additional three months are the issue. As I have said, I would like to know if I can land on a positive LMO, after my test results are sorted, but before the PR process is complete.

Of course that you can apply at the port of entry that was my point but as I said before "most likely" your application will be refused. I assume that you are from Philippines since you sent your application to CIC Manila. If yes then probably they will ask you for medicals:

Temporary Resident Visa (Work Permit except for Live-in Caregivers): If provisionally accepted, medical examinations are usually required; see the average medical processing times.

More further:
Cases where a further, more detailed medical examination is required: 4 months or more from the date of medical examination

P.S No worries, New Zealand require chest x-ray and medicals from some countries too before they will approve/review your visa.
