Sent complete application to visa office. On additional family forms, principal applicants name was put on both forms as the applicant, the rest of info. on the forms went accordingly and each was signed. It is confusing since it says applicant. CIC had no problem with this. Any comments?

"CIC had no problem with this."
if you know that for sure.. why bother :-) ?

On the other hand, I had a similar problem with the form. I sent all the additional information pages (corrected) again with a covering letter and I know for a fact that CIC dint have a problem.

btw, your family members need to be the 'applicant' on their respective additional info pages. Hope this helps.

Yes. Your spouse should be the applicant in the other form not you. By this, she lists her father, mother, brother and sister names, not you. You don this in the first form.

Two forms of additional family members: one for you and your parents/brothers/sisters, and the other for your spouse.

If you believe there was a mistake, then update the forms and resend them immediately.

Cheers

Should I send a corrected form or leave it as is? CIC had no objection.

I'd send the corrected form/s imdtly. 'Coz the VO might raise an objection someday... & that'd fetch me [some] unnecessary BF'Ds - meaning: Delays!
