Hello All,

I am a September 2013, CEC applicant. I will be getting married by this May/June. I would like to add my spouse to the application then. Ideally, i would like to get our PR's together.

Now that the September applicants might get medicals in March/April, 2014.

b) Should i go ahead and complete my medicals ? or Should i reject any of the processes ahead so that i can add my spouse later ?

Please suggest me the best way of adding my spouse's application after i get married.

Thanks.
Anil.

You get 60 days to respond to any queries from CIC . Ideally it is better you add your spouse and get PR together since sponsorship is not so fast as compared to CEC . You can delay your response to CIC .

Can you provide any kind of proof for common-law relationship? I.e. joint bank accounts, lease agreement stating both, bill with both names? If so, you may try to ask CIC to add your spouse now and mention you plan to marry later this year. It might work

Hi Maxim,

Thanks for your reply. Actually, its an arranged marriage :-). Still searching for prospective bride. Time is running out for me. Might get medicals anytime soon.

Hi Rinku,

I am currently in India. Supposing my CEC application is approved before i get married. Can i apply for Visa for my spouse from India itself ?

So that we both go to Canada together ?
