Adding spouse to the CEC application - a few questions

Hi everyone,

I received CIC's reply on adding my spouse to the CEC application.

A few questions that I am unclear of:
- spouse's four recent photos (CIC said documents other than police certificates can be sent with scanned copy through email, what about photos? Should I take them and scan them, or I can mail photos to them?)
- spouse's police certificates - spouse studied in USA for 2 years, so we need FBI clearance. But the processing time is 12 weeks or more. Is it too long for CIC? Will it be a problem that we send it after 3 months? Is there a deadline for submitting this?

Any fellow applicant or seniors with similar experience please share your insights.

Ofcourse you have to mail the photos with your certificate.

BDW I am in same boat as you. After I notify them that I want to add my wife, they have replied that for now please submit the marriage certificate and an office will ask you if further information is required. Did you gone through same steps?

No. It gives me all the documents they want to have such as updated forms, marriage certificate, questionaire, proof of relationship. The thing is that CIC said everything can be sent through email except police certificates, which I have to mail them.

BTW, if i sent by email, what should I do with signatures? Can I print and scan them?

Yes. You can print them and scan them. However, I would send everything in mail since you are already sending them police Clarence and photos in Main.

Got married in my native country in Dec 2013.
Informed CIC about marital status change in Jan 2014 (Within a week CIC asked for wife's document).
This step may not be relevant to you: Applied for wife's passport and then visitor visa
CIC sent final reminder for wife's document in May 2014 and gave 30 days to submit it.
Sent wife's documents including photos and PCC to CIC by mail (not email) in June 2014 (10 days after my wife arrived in Canada)

Just our marriage certificate that I obtained from my native country. She also has my name as spouse on her passport.

I am a July 2014 Applicant under CEC and just got married in March 2015 but my wife is already a Permanent Residence here. What step should be taken to add the spouse name ?

Suggestions are to be appreciated.

yesterday only I have sent email to CIO-Sydney about my marriage, I sent marriage certificate which has our photo and copy of my spouse's passport.

I am Sep2014 applicant.

Here is my case :

Applied for PR in Jan 2014
AOR Received : Feb 2014
Got married in my native country in July 2014.
My Medical Received : 31-Jul-2014
Informed CIC about marital status change in Aug 2014 .
Sent Wife documents along with Visitor visa medicals done in India : Sep 2014
This step may not be relevant to you: Applied wife's visitor visa and she is in Canada from Sep 2014
CIC asked Marriage questionnaires documents : Feb 2015
Marriage questionnaires documents sent : Feb 2015 ( 16 Mb with photos and other proofs)
CIC responded re size the questionnaires documents :31st Mar 2015
re size (5 mb) and sent questionnaires documents to CIC : 31st Mar 2015
Upfront RPRF for both myself and spouse : 27-Feb-2015
Still Cost recovery fee is not deducted for my wife ( sent form along with CC details ).

** I am eagerly waiting to hear passport request ??

I applied GCMS on Mar 2015 , it says my application is in progress and wife application didnt start.

Please give me any advice to follow further steps , since it is already 15 months completed.
