Hi, my partner is about to go into the express entry pool. I am going down my own path through the PGWP as she gets more points being on her own in the profile. How does she declare this in the application? Does she simply select 'partner will not come with you to Canada'? Slightly confused about the best way forward. We both live in Canada currently, she is working in a skilled position and I am about to graduate with my Master's.

Thanks

When you mean on her own, did she declare as single ? Is your partner looking at CEC ?

She is planning on declaring common law partner and then choosing option of partner not coming with you to Canada. Only if that is allowed.. Yes she is looking into CEC

You have to declare if you have a common-law partner. If your partner does not want to immigrate, you can have them as non-accompanying in the application.

It does not matter where the person is, the primary applicant has to list all immediate family members, whether accompanying to not.
