Adding spouse three months after receiving CSQ

Good morning all,

I applied for CSQ as single for me and my son on November 2011 and i received the CSQ on 05 sept. 2012; but the CSQ is dated 29 May 2012. However I got married in April 2012(civil Marriage) and i sent an email to BIQ on 25 May 2012 to inform them that i got married and require their advise on what to do though my wife will not make the first landind with me, BIQ never replied. I mailed them a signed letter with a copy of the marriage certificate and again ask them to advise me on any process it may require, they never answer me.

I am thinking of sending the CSQ back to them along with the application DCS for my wife including her documents(copy conform Birth & Marriage certificate) to ask them to add my wife even though she will not make the first landing with me in Canada.

I would kindly appreciate your advice on that before i take this decision.

Hi Jin114, i was in the same situation, got my CSQ in april 2011, got married in december same year, i returned my CSQ with a new form, my wife documents and form, and the payment, she got it after 2 months.
 
Thank you very much RMehdi for your kind reply. Anyway Do you think i should still send back the CSQ with her docs and all the forms even if she will not make the first landing with me? As my wife doesn't have any qualifications and she doesn't speak neither french nor english. Would you think it is advicable to add her to my immigration program?
 
Pls. help- adding spouse after csq

Good day to everyone. I really need some advice and I'm very worried as of now.

I started my application under Quebec immigration November 2011 and received notice for an interview JUNE 2012. I got married January 2012 and proceeded with the interview without my spouse but I brought with me my marriage certificate during the interview and the officer was aware I got married - I got my CSQ . I sent back my original csq to quebec office august 2012 and requested if my husband can be included so we can land together in canada soon. My file is received under federal application september 2012 . MY QUESTIONS ARE:

1. Will they reject my application because I requested for my husband to be included or will we be interviewed again so we can have a new csq?

2. My federal application is received september 2012, am I still waiting for a medical exam if I don't have my csq? I know medical exams are valid for one year, will my spouse do medical exam togehter with me if we don't know yet if we can have a new csq? How long do we have to wait for medical exams?


Please help me.
 
Hi RMehdi! Did you or your wife had another interview? Still waiting for our new csq. How did you knew that it is approved, was by a phone call or mail?
 

According to the government, new laws to curb immigration through fraudulent marriages will go into effect next year. The new regulation will impose a two year period of conditional residency on foreign sponsored spouse. Spouses who have emigrated to Canada will not be able to themselves sponsor an overseas spouse for five years.

Hello Jin114 and RMehdi,

Could you please tell me what are the documents and fees to add wife to CSQ? I got my CSQ back in February 2012 and my marital status has just changed.

i am in montreal working and got my csq before wedding and trying to add my husband to csq and sent the necessary documents to immigration-quebec. How long does it take?
did anyone else face this?
PLEASE REPLY. i have to apply work permit if it takes late.
