Adding spouse after AOR increase processing time?

Hello All
I want to inquire about processing times if i added my spouse after AOR.
I received AOR on 8 Jan 2016
Married in Feb 2016, CIC asked for additional Documents plus spouse Processing and RPRF fee request i submitted on 15 March 2016
received my RPRF on 6 May 2016, paid on the same day
BG Check in Progress
but no update on my application since 6 May 2016.
I am PNP applicant.
Can any senior please let me know is this all normal that my application is taking this much time more than 6 months?

i think it speedup the process as one of friend added her spouse after his AOR and get ppr in just 45 after he added his marriage certificate and other documents
