Friends,

Following question is making me puzzled -

My mother is widowed and I am the only child; my mother is living with us on visitor/super visa.

Few weeks back I was sharing with someone that I am planning to file PR for my mother once this option is open; and that guy suggested that since I am the only child who is taking care of my mother (and since she would be alone in my home country); I should add request (letter) on Humantarion grounds also to our PR application to make it stronger? That guy had immigrated in 1970s in Canada, and said he is not aware how to do this but I should add this request too in our application.

Can someone please guide if this suggetsion is good/ meaningful and if yes where can I get any information related to this process?

Please reply, I would be thankful to you for your reply (please reply even if it is NOT possible, that way would be helpful to clear the doubt)...

regards.

It makes no sense to include H&C information in a non-H&C application. When your mother's sponsorship application is evaluated, whether there are H&C reasons will play absolutely no role in whether she is accepted or refused. What is important are the criteria that must be met for the application to be approved, namely that you must meet LICO and she must pass the medical.

Including H&C information in a non-H&C application is a waste of time, meaningless and could confuse the agent.

Don't listen to the guy who immigrated in 1970 - he has no idea what he's talking about. Immigration processes have completely changed since then and any information he provides is no longer relevant. Stick to the application guides and forms.

Thank you for your reply... his information was very lucrative, so couldn't ignore... and I am bit confused on this issue... but as you suggested that an application can be processed on single issue; that's either parent sponsership or humantarion ground & not on combined criteria... so I would prefer to follow parent sponsership option... thanks a lot for your guidance ....
