Adding evidence after mailing?

I have to prove I will move back to Canada. I didn't have much evidence. Now we have a moving truck booked and my flight into Vancouver. My husband will follow when he gets his PR. I'm a bit worried about getting approved as a sponsor. My application hasn't even been opened yet. How can I show this additional evidence? Thank you.

Copy what you have and send the copies in a folder with a cover letter requesting to add them to your original file. On the cover letter, mention your identifiers (file number or client ID) and mail them in the regsitered mail to the visa office. Keep the originals in case the copies are not added and you need to send the proofs again.

So you are sending them to CPC-M not the visa office.

So use your general identifers (DOB, full name, and client ID number). Enclose a copy of your receipt. Courier the package and send it to the street address of CPC-M (not the P.O. box address..you won't get signature on delivery!!).

Also I only have a receipt number. I have an old client ID because we got a PR in 2010 but couldn't move before it expired due to some major life changes.

The client ID is not supposed to change - you should have one for life. So your client ID from your original PR application should be the same as the client ID for the new application.

You never know. I think they open the files shortly after receiving them because they have to check for application completeness (this is why they return the incomplete applications right away indicating that they open the envelopes/packages they receive). We only think that they open them after two months because we hear from them after this long period but this is not true. They have to open what they receive for completeness check and placement in the queues. They should also have internal system that can track the files inside their center which might not be connected to the main system (ECAS). Otherwise, it would be a big mess there!!!! I am writing these info from a web site describing what goes inside CPC-M but I couldn't retireve the link again. Just go ahead and send them via courier to the street address (avoid Canada Post). Put all your identifiers with the receipt. Title your cover letter with BOLD RED (additional critical documents to be added to original file). Even if the documents are not added, they won't reject your sponsorship right away. They will send you a letter asking for additional documents or more information. If this happens, be prepared to send them again with any further documents you will get in the coming weeks. This is why you should keep the originals and send copies. While the processing is going on, you will find that you be getting more and more documents that need to be sent. If you think any of these documents might have high impact on the application, send it right away.

I am confused. Entertaining link?

So what is your advice to me. Should I just wait to see if they want more evidence? Should I attempt mailing something? Emailing? I know mine won't even be opened for awhile.

Send along any new information you have using your existing ID.

It is possible if you applied for something else at another time that you may have another ID, but if this is the first application ever submitted then there should only be one ID. Clearly mark your information with your ID, name and any other pertinent information that will help match up your information with your file since the information, while easiest to match is buy ID can also be done other ways, just takes more time.

Since you refer to another ID you may want to include both.

As usual you will want to send the information in some way to be able to track that it has been received and it goes without saying that you will keep copies of everything. (that for the very new people).

I would just wait and send the new evidence to the visa office once it gets your application. You will then have your correct current file number. You can be approved as a sponsor even with little evidence you are going back to Canada. It is at the visa office where the visa officer decides if he/she believes you will be going back to Canada. The VO will be looking at the evidence you will be going back to Canada - or are in fact back in Canada - at that time.
People have been approved as sponsors, and then had the PR application rejected because the visa officer didn't believe the Canadian spouse would be moving back to Canada. The VO needs that evidence at the visa office, not just at Mississauga.
