This is regarding adding non accompanying new born in on going application

CSq is not required if the new born is non accompanying family member

I got information from cic that I need to fill in below forms

1. Generic form
2 . Background declaration form

No fees is required to pay as the new born is non accompanying

Docs required
1. Only birth certificate

I am bit confused on the doc required as my baby is born outside canada so am I still don't need a passport ?

Can anyone give kind suggestions on doc required

Your baby must need passport whenever you enter into Canada. But to apply Mon Project - passport number is not mandatory for infants.
You can use Birth Certificate instead. But later you can add passport information.
My suggestion is to get a passport now and use that at apply time if you have time. But if you do not have enough time then birth certificate will work only to apply.

Thanks Raman for circling back with this information.

Updated generic form with new child info is Generic Application Form to Canada (IMM 0008) ( Completed and signed by the principal applicant )

Updated family information for me and wife with our child info. is
Additional Family Information (IMM 5406)
Completed, dated and signed by everyone in the following list:
• the principal applicant
• spouse or common-law partner (whether they are accompanying or not)
• each dependent child over the age of 18 years (whether they are accompanying or not)

Right ?

Also looks like we still need to submit Passport copy of non-accompanying child which is contrary to what we discussed here:
