Add yours- reasons applications have been sent back

I sent in the old checklist instead of the new one cause I didn’t know they had updated in Feb. and I had been working on my application since October 2017

Oh my gosh. Yes. We did everything off old forms first. Then realized we had the wrong forns and required a police check upfront ...totally changed our timeline for submission of application

Thats insane. They sent us a letter requesting new ones be uploaded. The stupidest things. Urgh

Do CIC use a tracked service when they send back an application? I'm worried that the application might get lost on the way and one might never know or realize soon enough.

I know it’s crazy!! And the worse is that you have to guess what’s wrong when they send it back. It was only highlighted in bleue the part where they talked about the photos on the check list. So I started measuring and I realized that the photos were smaller 1 mm from chin to forehead. We lost like a month and a half with that. We had to redo the photos, he had to send it to me by that time of course a form was updated so I had to refill it send it to him so he can sign it and send it back to me. 300$ later for 1 mm. It’s frustrating! My husband asked the photographer if the measurement were right he said yes so my husband trusted him, I had told him to mesure it himself as well...told me he did but he didn’t....after I made him pay the 300$ por terco lol he was more careful after!!!

No they don’t it comes through regular mail. Well that’s how came back mine

Yessss! But thank god now it’s over and behind us for good!! Sincerely I think I would never go trough this process again. Glad I did but it a lot to handle and for us it went well and it was short. I just can imagine the couples with difficult cases, how they must feel!

My husband was here the whole time (12 months and 5 days). In that time we got pregnant and had a baby lol and we have a very srraight forward case. There was no movement from july to march. At all. I cant imagine not being with him during the process. Just glad its done

Sûre...it took about 2-3 weeks

For Outland it took 6 weeks and inland is faster usually 4 weeks.

This may have already been asked but do they send you an email telling you the application package is coming back (being mailed back to your home address) or do you just find it in your home mailbox a few weeks after it is delivered to Mississauga?
