Hi,

My parents are applying for immigration to Canada. The problem is I will be 21 by this July and it is not qualify the dependent child age right now. However, we can expect the dependent child age change back to 22 in Fall 2017. Is that possible for my parents to add me to their application after they apply and have interview? My agent said government of Canada will automatically add me when they change the law, is that true? Or should we take risk and wait until Fall 2017 to apply?

No one knows when the rules will change and how things will work once the rules change. So unfortunately it's impossible for us to answer your question. Typically dependents must be included with the initial application and cannot be added later (unless a new child is born). However it's really impossible for any of us to say how CIC will handle this rule change and when it will happen.
