I came to Canada from Australia in April 2018 for 7 weeks, after getting approved for a 2 year working visa, but chose not to activate it and instead enter on a travel visa (as far as I can tell at least, I was stamped in straight away without mentioning it). My question is, am I able to extend the activation period, as I have now returned to Australia and have a legal matter to attend to that requires me to stay in the country after the activation period expires in March 2019. I was planning on doing sought-after disability support work if that makes any difference. I could also provide written evidence from my solicitor about my need to remain in Australia. Also, if I cannot get the visa extended, would I at least still be eligible to re-apply in future?
