I have already entered Canada as a visitor 10 days ago, are there any issues with driving a rental car to the US, spending the day there and then returning to Canada to activate my work permit? Most articles recommend to ask to be declined entry to the US, but I would prefer to avoid that. Also, when I reenter Canada, after hopefully activating my work permit, is there a minimum amount of time I have to stay in Canada or can I leave immediately if I have to? Can I apply for SIN etc, at a later time? Anything else I should be aware/careful of?
