hello everyone,

I have a question concerning a stamp in my sister’s passport. It say POS April 9,2008 along with nine numbers . She was supposed to be adopted by my aunt who lives here in Canada. My sister at the time was 12 years of age and was told by an accompanying family member( her guardian) to the interview that the stamp meant she was unsuccessful in being adopted and her aunt did not wish to have her any longer . But I was told something contrary every time I enquired about the status of her application. Did Immigration Canada back in those days stamp your passport if you have been denied? It seems a bit strange for me to comprehend. I don’t have any straight answers and no one seem to have a copy of the paperwork submitted or letter from immigration. I need to know what that acronym POS means since I would like to sponsor my sister at this time.
