Accreditation / recognition of foreign (German) Bachelor in Canada

Hello,

I obtained my Bachelor of Arts degree in Germany, on a regular German University of Applied Science.
I heard, that a foreign Bachelor is not automaticly accepted in Canada.
Some companies apparently ask for an "accreditation" of foreign diplomas. The waiting time to get this accreditation appointment should take up to 3 month.

Does anyone know, where to request such an appointment in Quebec? Is it the government doing it?

I couldn´t really find any reliable Information on the Internet, I found an agency called "AAA" who might do it, though I thought it´s a federal process...

AFAIK, governments in Canada do not provide accreditation services.
