Thier last name is on the bio father, my problem is my older child 9 yrs doesn't want to come with me. if i leave her behind in the philippines and she decide and want to come in canada how long will b the process if i sponsor her to come.im married with a canadian and bearing my husband's last name though i think i wont have any problemcoz on the birth certificate i am the bio mother, but how long will it take for me to be able to sponsor my daughter in case? any factual ideas would be appreciated guys, thank u

Hi,

A senior member on here will be able to provide you with more information however, I think that you must include your daughter in the application. I'm pretty sure that if you don't add her to your application now, she won't be able to be sponsored in the future.

A Senior would be able to advise you

You must include the older child in the application. She will have to have a medical and be included on the forms just like the younger child. However, you can list her as a non-accompanying dependent. This means you can then sponsor her later.
I am not sure how long sponsoring her later will take. Probably it would be about as long as the average processing time for your visa office, which of course could change in the future.
