Guys let's say my visa office emailed me a letter about my passport request and I accidentally deleted it... Does that mean I'm screwed? Or would it eventually show up on ecas??? Thanks

Gary

That would be a silly thing to do!! ;)
Wouldn't it still be in your recycle folder? Whenever I delete something it goes in there for 2 weeks (or until I empty it).
If not I guess you could email them with your file number and ask them to resent it I guess??

It won't show up in ECAS. All ECAS will eventually show is the "a decision has been made" line of information.

If you accidentally deleted the email, I would contact the office as canooknic has recommended.

If you never get the email in the first place, due to their misspelling or whatever, they send out a physical letter too, correct?

I didn't get a letter, just the email, but I went through London so I don't know if other offices do things differently.
If you think that you should have received the PPR email and haven't I would send a case specific email

not all the time; sometimes they will send just the email - many people got email only and also us, when we applied for a visit visa before the answer was delayed so long just because they misspelled the e-mail address

i suggest to call and ask them to resend the email or write them an email and ask them to resend
