As I mentioned before, I submitted my federal file on 1st December 2015. Our friend, Stylove, submitted his on 4th January 2016 and he received his medical request two days ago. I tried to contact my lawyer to ask him if he received any communication for me. However, I have not got any response from him yet.I am really concerned and I do not know what to do.The whole lawyer thing is bothering me right now. I have no clue what to do. Before each step I had to send him several emails and kept worrying about him receiving any communications and not passing them immediately to me.

I am assuming you have not linked your application to a CIC account. But you can still check the status under ECAS, it would give you an indication if anything was shared. Now given you just hit one year, did you consider contacting CIC? or requesting your GCMS notes?

The thing is that the ECAS will not show anything if the VO sends asking for medical and the lawyer asked me not to link my application. So, I am kept in the shadow. As for the GCMS, it will take at least a month to get the notes and when it arrives it will be outdated as the information it has will be one month old. My fear is that CIC sends their requests to the lawyer and by the time I get the message it may be too late. For example, I did not submit fingerprints. So, when I get this request I will need at least 3 weeks to get it and CIC gives only 30 days. If my lawyer fails to inform me on time, it will be a mess as I have to get the fingerprints from my home country. Then, I need to send them to my lawyer in Canada. After that, he will send them to Abu Dhabi VO. Bearing in mind, that he usually keeps the documents for at least a week before he sends them. I do not know why!!

I completely understand your worries Hamzolar.
You know what? My MR came in my LINKED CIC ACCOUNT.
An email came to me with noreply@cic.gc.ca saying that I should login to mycic account now and read my messages. Then I opened my GCKEY and got two messages, one for my Medicals form and the other for my kid.

I strongly think you should link your account or just trust your Lawyer and wait. Nevertheless, your timeline isn't out of the norm yet as it is usually 12 to 13 months. Apply for your GCMS notes now it won't cost you anything. Try to always keep your lawyer in the loop.

It shall be well Inshallah

Hi Hanzmolar

Can't you apply for the PCCs by mid December. Normaly they are valid for one year. They have an expiry date in 3 months
Once getting them forward them to the agent. Once they receive the next communication they can forward them and you can save time.
I sent my country's PCCs with the application and later I sent my country of residence 's PCCs to my agent.
They confirmed they will forward them with the next communication to my VO

Do the same bro

Nchalla we will hear some good news.

Btw the city of destination on my csq is Ville de Quebec, what if i land at montreal, and then move to another city other than the one on my CSQ and COPR (still inside the province of Quebec), will that cause problems receiving my PR Card?

No idea at all
