My brother applied for his Study Permit on April 26th and his application is still processing at Abu Dhabi, currently going into its 15th week. In comparison a friend of mine applied for her study permit on April 12th and she received her approval and TRV on June 15th (about 9 weeks).

The processing times for people seem to be very randomized at Abu Dhabi embassy. It was a lot better last year. Good luck to you all! He also received a response for his case enquiry for the delay, as expected doesn’t explain much and seems like a generic response (he received this email on Thursday):

“Thank you for your E-mail.

Your application is in queue for review by an officer.

Please note that the volume of applications received and the complexity of individual applications can cause processing times to be longer in some cases. This is often due to circumstances beyond our control. We appreciate your patience and we will contact you once processing has been finalized.

Immigration section | RA
Canadian Embassy | United Arab Emirates"

I applied yesterday for Jan 2018 intake via VSF Dubai ,, they said Abu dabhi embassy processing time is 9 weeks around now a days depending on volume of applications..
