Abu dhabi visa office : have not started our processing : please help

Hi, we have applied on September 5, 2013 and then got a letter on September 24, 2013 from case processing Centre in Mississauga that says "You have met the requirements for eligibility as a sponsor. The Application for Permanent
Residence for your relative has been forwarded to a visa office abroad for further processing."

From then I m checking the status of application but they have not started the processing.
the status just says : we have received your application .
My question is within what time period do they actually starts processing? If anyone can help with their experience, I would really appreciate.

i would add further that i am a canadian citizen , currently living with my husband in Dubai. i have sponsored my husband .

My case is similar to yours, but I am Canadian sponsoring my wife.

Our file was transferred to Abu Dhabi in March 2013 and till now "application received". I beleive they are currently processing February applications... you are just in the begining, so be patient.

Nobody know about processing times,my husband been waiting for almost 1 year this 2014 January and still application received on his Ecas.
