Please l am a Canadian citizen for twenty years now who has just sponsored my wife. The process has not yet started but she is three months pregnant with twins. Do I need to apply for citizenship certificate for them in case she gives birth in my home country and how long will it take?. Thanks.

Congratulations.

If she gives birth there, yes, you'll have to apply for citizenship for them. I don't know how long it takes, but count on a couple of months.

If a Canadian citizen is sentenced of crime in different country and later released and deported back to Canada, does it affected his record in Canada.

Have you determined if you are actually eligible to sponsor given your criminal record? Would anticipate that your twins will be born abroad.

What was the crime? You may be ineligible to sponsor your spouse depending on the answer.
