Your husband being approved to sponsor you does not guarantee that you will be approved as an applicant. They are two separate processes. Once your spouse is approved your application then goes to the embassy in Manila (I assume that is where you are). You can find the processing times on the CIC website (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm/fc-spouses.asp#asia). For Manila it says that 80% of applications were approved within 9 months, so it could take anywhere between a few weeks to approximately 9 months. 20% of applications took longer. Anything beyond that is merely speculation but you should look through the Manila applicant threads to see how long it has taken others.

I am not sure what type of letter you are looking for from the embassy...did you mean the approval letter?
