About Renew Study Permit

Hi Guys,
Before I renew my study permit 1 time already, as I know I should bring the bank statement with another require documents and I have to have at least $10,000 in my account, I just want to know that Can I use my mom bank statement in Vietnam instead of bank statement in Canada ?
Do I really need to have the Canada bank statement ?
And if I can use the bank statement in VN can she just scan it and send to me by email ?
Please help me with this problem,

Hi,

1. In case of a bank account in Canada: the account should be in your name with proof that money has been transferred in it.
2. Or, you should get a bank draft in CAD (you may ask your mother to arrange it) and attach the same with your application.

Sorry to meddle, but is it possible to have a bank draft in CAD when you (the sponsor, in this case) don't have an account in a Canadian bank? How so?

You don't need to show $10,000 to renew your study permit and the account should be in your name. A bank balance of at least $2000 CAD should be fine. If you have a job, mention it with the salary. I've done it before and got a new study permit. Plus, they returned the bank statement to me.
