im still working for this company and will be by the time i apply as CEC, then do i still need the record of employment?(document issued upon the termination of employment) or am i ok with T4/notice of assessment and reference letters from the employer?? thanks a bunch!!

To my understanding, ROE are only given when you are through with your contract, since you are still working with the company, I don't think you can get one.

ROE is not a document required by CIC.

The ROE is actually listed as one of the required documents: See #6 (Work experience) on the document checklist: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5610E.PDF. For people claiming work experience on jobs they've left, it's a good way to prove that they worked the necessary time to apply for permanent resident status. But in this case, redstyler doesn't need one since s/he's still with the company.
