About PR status

Hi ,
We are a family of 2 adults and 3 children (all under 10 years) having PR cards ,will be expired in Aug.2015, and living out of Canada at the moment.
We are planning to go and get settle in Canada by May 2015(i.e. just 3 months before the PR cards get expired) ,of course we will be not meeting the residency requirements of 730 days.
Is there any chance to enter Canada again without IO reporting?
In case of the reporting, will be there any official paper given by the IO?

According to what people say that have been in that situation, the chances to cross without being reported are pretty good. If they report you, they will give you some paperwork regarding that and they will tell you that you are allowed to enter but you have 30 days to appeal.
