about french course and TEF

Did anybody do any french course before whose native language is not french? and did you guys took TEF and claim any point from there ?
Please share the details ............

I did it and got 2 points awarded... I had a private teacher for a month and took only Listening and Reading and that was enough... Well my first language is Spanish...

Dear mississaugans ,

Can you help me to understand a small thing ?? that is --
what is Level 0,1,2(0-180 pts)? Does it means if I get upto '180', my level is '2' and get no points for this? or there is different types of level and I have to complete one after another to get high point ?

I visited local Alliance Française (French Alliance) school in my country,they maintain a level of learners.....is this level has any link with CIC's level?

I just did LISTENING and READING and got LEVEL 3 (1+1) = 2 points and never care about speaking and writing because you get only 2 points at this level no matter if you ar competent in all abilities...

And yes you start getting points at LEVEL 3 and LISTENING and READING are to my opinion the easiest ones....

I suggest you find the Michel Thomas tapes. I did them for a month and sat the eTefaQ and got B1 in speaking. My listening needs some help but, his tapes are really good.
