About criminal record check

Hi everyone, I’m new here. Any help would be nice, thank you!!!

I’m not a Canadian citizen but I’ve lived in Canada for over six months. Do I still have to provide criminal record check in Canada while applying for common law?
(I’m the principal applicant and my boyfriend will be the sponsor.)
