That's a question you need to ask your school. IRCC says you don't have to inform them about changing program in same DLI, but you can send then a webform if you want.

Just want to know changing program (OPs is a totally different one to their past education + experience due to which they might have gotten their SP) how contradictory is this and kind of unfair given IRCC is refusing people for programs they think isn’t good enough for someone but once you get a study permit, the world is your oyster. Who makes these policies really? Also all offense to IRCC and not the applicants. Just curious.
You raise very good point. Somewhere this policy has loophole but its not flawless by 100%. Your point is if you can match your experience with choice of program and VO made positive decision based on that, but later you change and do something completely different, then thats where the loophole is.
It really seems kind of unfair at this point. Recently I have seen so many people get an SP for a master’s program and change it to a certificate or a diploma at the same DLI. Nobody is talking openly about it but agents are aware of these loopholes and I’m sure they are exploiting it. I have seen people with broken English get SPs because agents have exploited the SOP process too. Everyone pays 15k INR (around 250 CAD) and get study plans written from experts. Also the ielts is a very premeditated exam it’s not rocket science really. The exploitation that is happening and the refusals where genuine people are paying the cost IMO is a very tragic situation. I hope they bring some reforms and make it like the US where not anybody and everybody gets through. The quality matters too. If people don’t know the difference between come and came how does the IRCC expect the workforce to be competitive. It’s freakin annoying.
I agree with you. Unfortunately it is what it is. It's become a case of "if you can't beat them, join them". Some people do this because they are fed up of getting refusals because IRCC just don't believe they really want a change in career or pursue a different path (You are currently in the same situation now being forced to change programs in order to get approved), but most people do it to game the system. Those are the ones that irks me
. Karma DOES usually catch up with the fakers who exploit this loophole - they usually flunk out of school, work illegally and violate their SPs, making a royal mess of their PR dreams. They end up with nothing after wasting so much and time and money. So in the end, they usually get what's coming to them.
I hear your point. In my opinion, and not because of my academic background but when someone asks for copy of SOP, makes me have second opinion about the applicant. If i pay consultant to write it down, again thats another issue. If someone wrote it down and ask you to review thats makes lot of sense and applicant put an effort to come up with some idea unique to their situation.
my consultant is saying there is no need since the institution, fees and time duration is same.And on cic website there is no valid information for change in course
