Ability to work in India before going to Canada after Student visa is issued.

Hi Guys, My friend got his Student visa issued on July 5th and his course starts in September. Currently he is in his notice period with current employer in India and the notice period ends in August last week.

So is it a violation to work full time in India till he goes to Canada before the course starts?
