A70 pilot project - Open Work Permit while waiting for Permanent Residency

This pilot project has been extended until 2019. It was first implemented in 2014 but has been extended every year since then. As of now (January 20th) I have not seen any news of extension beyond January 31, 2019. Does anyone know if they will be continuing beyond this date??? I can't see why not. But it is very concerning that there is still no news as we wanted to apply to this category but can't yet as we are still waiting for our marriage certificate. It is looking like we wont be receiving it before the deadline. If anyone knows more, please share. Thank you.

No one knows anything you don't. It will almost certainly be extended.
