Hello,

Thanks for your time in advance, it is appreciated.
I have a friend in Canada, what the possibility for me to get a visit visa or a student visa as a Syrian married to American, Is it difficult or easy nowadays?

Regarding the bank account, if they apply for a visit visa for 3- 6 months, what is the amount of money they have to show in their bank account and for how long it has to be before the application?

Thank you for your time and patience.

regards,

By "American" you mean a US citizen?

It depends on your specifics, if your specifics are strong then it will be easy.

One thousand CAD for each week they plan to stay after accommodations... so 3-6 months would be 12K to 24K CAD.

Since you are married to American, wouldn't it be less hassle if you get a Green card instead? Having a US green card, you can visit Canada without visa.

Yes she is a US citizen
We have a friend there and she has her canadian grandparents burid in Canada in addition to some relatives, she would like to visit but we are not sure if I can join her as I am her husband, unfortunitly as you know visas are not easy for Syrians!!

She is from the second generation and cannot apply for the Canadian citizenship...

We both like Canada and I am planning to study there, these are our reasons.

If you have any suggestion, thank you again
