I received an email from cic for a passport on Tuesday but there was no instruction letter and additional family chart form was attached to it despite of mentioning it at several occasion in email which was a bit surprising. I then contacted my friend who eventually emailed me the one which he had received about a month ago with the same email as me. I went through that instruction thing (passport and photograph info etc) and filled the additional family form also. before all this I replied back to cic to get a instruction pack from them. Anyway yesterday I went to cic london personally to drop my passport 2 photographs and that additional family chart. after I came back from there I received an email from cic with instruction letter and additional family info. the additional family chart form which I have revived is slightly different than what I have dropped off. the one I dropped off had surname, forenames, height, eye color, passport expiry and a family info but the one I cic has sent me has everything except eye colour and height. they probably excluded it from a new form.

So my question is could it make any difference to my application in terms of some Canadian legal rules or something or in terms of the form I dropped off is slightly different. The lady over there put a straight line on my wife details which I included in that form. she said "you don't need to mention her as she is already in Canada". then she said it's ok now.I am bit worried about this all and specially the cutting she did on that form. This will be my last query to you all as you guys helped me a lot already. I have been issued a letter to collect my passport after 2 weeks.

Thanks for all inputs in advance.

Syedd, though I haven't gotten this far in the process, I don't think this will be a problem.

The differences in the forms are so minor. Also, this is an administrative task to process your visa on the passport. It's not a decision making factor on your case.

If they really want you to fill out the updated version, I would assume they would contact you for it. You already have a pick up date anyway :) I think you should be fine.

Good luck
